Trip Description
Day 1: Start hiking between vineyards, olive trees, and holm oaks. On the way, discovery of the mysterious sources of the Buèges. Ascent of the Pontel valley in the shade of Salzmann pines. Night in a stopover gite. Dist: 10 Km. + 400 m. 4 h. Day 2: The ridges of the Seranne mountain, high garrigues around 700 m altitude. Then valleys and combes give you access to the Larzac plateau. Stopover in a guest house. Dist: 13 Km. + 250 m. 5 h. Day 3: Beautiful viewpoints over the Vis canyon. Passage through the Seranne pass, from where the view extends to the coastal beaches. Via the old mule track of Saint Jean de Buèges. You descend into the valley and return to "A la Ser’ane". Dist: 14 Km. + 350 m. - 650 m. 5 h. Bivouac version possible on this circuit.
